BUSINESS REGISTRATION UPDATE IN FEBRUARY AND FIRST TWO MONTHS OF 2017

  1.       Business registration update in February 2017  

In February 2017, there were 5.461 newly established enterprises with registered capital of 62.275 billion Vietnamese dong, decreasing by 39,3% in the number of enterprises, decreasing by 31,0% in registered capital, compared to January. Because of the Lunar New Year holiday in February that happened from January 26th to February 1st, the number of enterprises registration have significantly dropped compared to previous month.

The proportion of registered capital per enterprise in February was 11,4 billion Vietnamese dong, increased by 13,6% compared to previous month.

The number of registered labor in newly established enterprise was 62.057, decreased by 39,9% compared to January.

In February, there were 2413 enterprises resumed operation, deacreasing by 56,6% compared to previous month.

There were 941 enterprises that have completed their dissolution procedure in February, down 40,6% compared to previous month.

There were 1926 enterprises registered for temporary suspenspion, fell 71,8% in comparison to that of January.

There were 1365 enterprise suspended without registering or waiting for dissolution, down 78,9% compared to January.

  1.                  Business registration update in the first two months of 2017

In the first two months of 2017, there has been 22.428 newly registered and resumed enterprises, of which 14451 were newly registered enterprises and 7977 were enterprises that have resumed operation.

Newly registered enterprises update in the first two months 2017:

-       General situation:

In the first two months of 2017, there were 14.451 newly established enterprises with registered capital of 152.558 billion dong, increased by 3,9% in the number of enterprises and by 35% in registered capital in comparison to that of the previous year (Comparing 2016 to 2015: The number of enterprise has increased by 1% and the amount of capital increased by 45,8%).

The total supplemental registered capital to market has reached 333.815 billion dong, of which : 152.558 billion dong from newly established enterprises, and 181.257 billion dong from enterprises that amended their registration.

The proportion of registered capital per enterprise in the first two months of 2017 has reached 10,6 billion dong, increased by 29,9% in comparison to that of the previous year.

The number of registered workforce in newly established enterprises in the first two months was 166.569 labors, decreased by 16,1 compared to the same period last year.

-       Business registration update by busines forms

Regarding the proportion of registered capital per enterprise, in the first two months of 2017, the share holding companies has the highest number of average capital size per enterprise, at 31.2 billion dong per enterprise, limited liability companies with two members hold second place with 8,2 billion dong per enterprise, then there are limited liability companies with one member, private companies and partnership companies with average capital size per enterprise of 6,1.6 and 1 billion per enterprises, respectively.

In the first two months of 2017, the number of newly established Limited liability with two or more members enterprise, private company and partnership company has reduced compared to that of 2016, by 3,1%, 32,8% and 66,7% respectively.The other two business forms have their number of new registration going up in comparison to that of the same period last year.

-         Business registration update by region:

The data of newly registrated enterprises in the first two months of February shows that:

Regarding the case of newly established enterprises, there are only 02 regions where the number of registered enterprises has decreased compared to the same period last year. Those are the Central Highlands with 363 enterprises, reducing by 11.2% , and the North and South Central Coast with 1,905 enterprises, decreasing by 4.7%; On the other hand, the Northern Midlands and Mountains has 616 enterprises, increasing by 8.8%; The Red River Delta has 4,310 enterprises, an increase of 8.4%; The South East had 6,069 enterprises, an increase of 5.0% and the Mekong River Delta had 1,188 enterprises, increase by 1.2%.

Regarding the case of newly established enterprises’ registrated capital, there also are two regions that saw their number of registered capital decreased in omparison to those of the previous year, which is the Mekong delta with 7.837 billion, reduced by 3%, and the Northern midland and mountanous region with total registered capital of 8.766 billion dong, reduced by 1,4%. On the other hand, other regions have theirs registered capital rose. The North and South Central Coast reached 21,463 billion, up 83.6%; The South East has 72,261 billion, up 56.6%; The Central Highlands has 4,092 billion in  registered capital, up 50.3% and the Red River Delta registered 38,139 billion, increased by 7.4%.

The No.3 chart ­shows that registered labor in newly established enterprises decreased in almost every regions compared to the same period last year, namely: The South East registered 39.130 workers, fell 38,5%. The Mekong delta registered 17.770 workers, decreased  by 37,8%; The Central Highlands registered 2.699 workers, decreased by 10%; The Red River delta registered 61.037, down 5% and the Northern Midland and Mountains region registered 12.736 workers, decreased 3,4. Only the North and South Central Coastsaw an increase in labor, with 33.197 workers registered, rose 28,1%.

- Business registration by sectors    


 

Analysis of newly established enterprises in the first two months of 2017 categorized by sectors shows that:

+ The percentage of newly established enterprises in some sectors have decreased, namely:  Uncategorized services was registered by 108 enterprises, down 12,2%; The Art and entertainment sector has 189 newly registered enterprises, decreased by 6,9%; The number of new enterprises which registered in Accomodation and catering services sector was 699, down 5,4%. There are 4.896 Wholesale, retail, repairs of automobile and motorbikes new ly added enterprises, decreased by 2.2%. Transportation and warehousing registered 816 enterprises, down 0,6. The remaining sectors saw their number of newly registered enterprises rise compared to the same period in 2016.

Regarding registered capital, statistics show that the proportion of registered capital have decreased in some sectors compared to the same period in 2016, including:Uncategorized services registered billion dong, down 69,2%, Electricity, gas and water distribution registered 2.597 billion dong, fell 65,9%; Media and communication registered 1.734 billion dong, decreased by 56,9%; Transportation and warehouse registered 3.596 billion dong, decreased by 29,1%. Other sectors have their registered capital increased compared to the same period last year.

In the first two months of 2017, a number of sectors has attracted labor, namely: Manufacturing and Processing (71.193 workers), Wholesale, retail, repairs of automobile and motorbikes (29.264 workers), construction (16.349 workers), Science, technology, consulting services, design, advertising and other expertises has attracted 15.423 workers.
